Archie and the Quiz was the 21st episode of the fifth season and the 106th overall episode of All In The Family. It first aired on CBS-TV on February 15, 1975. Written by Michael Morris, it was directed by H. Wesley Kenney.
Edith is taking a life expectancy quiz, which Archie regards as dumb, until he takes it himself and it tells him he will only live to be 63. Convinced she miscalculated, Archie has Mike figure it out for him, and it turns out that he is only expected to live to be 57!
Out of curiosity, Archie takes a magazine test life expectancy quiz that Edith stumbled upon, and then took, which she influnenced Archie to take, in concern about his health habits. When he takes the test, it says that he might die at about age 63! Now upset over the calcuation, Archie gets Mike to test him again; when Mike retests him, the news is even worse; it says that he may die at age 57! The now worried Archie, consequently, has a bad nightmare about attending his own funeral. Rather than take the test for what it is worth (or heed the advice of the accompanying article), Archie fumes about his possible premature demise.
