David P. Harmon (bornSeptember 3, 1918 - died August 28, 2001) wrote the episode of All in the Family titled "George and Archie Make a Deal" in Season 5. His career as a writer and producer spanned nearly 50 years, and his writing credits included Gilligan's Island, The Virginian, Hawaii Five-O, The Mod Squad, Love, American Style, The Brady Bunch, The Untouchables, various Wonderful World of Disney productions, and Star Trek: The Original Series, where he wrote the episodes "A Piece of the Action", and "The Eye of the Beholder". For Star Trek: TOS, He also submitted a story idea in 1968 called "Beware of Gryptons Bearing Gifts"; it was not produced, however.
