Edith's Winning Ticket is the 13th episode of the third season and the 50th overall episode All In The Family. The Season 3 episode first aired on CBS-TV on December 9, 1972. The Story was co-directed by John Rich and Bob LaHendro. It was written by Don Nicholl.

SynopsisEdit

Edith finds a winning lottery ticket in her purse. Thinking they are in the money, Archie tells Edith to collect. But Archie is once again foiled by his wife's honesty—the ticket, along with the prize, is really Louise Jefferson's. Archie is determined to collect the prize he thinks rightfully belongs to the Bunkers.

SummaryEdit

The Bunker household is turned on its ear when Edith announces that she holds a winning lottery ticket. An exultant Archie wants to go on an immediate spending spree, but Edith puts a damper on the celebration by revealing that the ticket actually belongs to Louise Jefferson. Only briefly daunted, Archie begins drawing up schemes to bilk the Jeffersons of the winnings.
