About Judge Myers[]

When Archie is arrested and put on trial for using a can of pepper spray on a mugger who tries to attack him in his taxi, which he drives on the weekends for Munson's Cab Company, The officer who investigated the incident, Sgt. Gorsky (Frank Campanella), pays Archie a visit at home. After searching the Bunker living room, he finds the pepper spray in a drawer, then arrests him for illegally possessing the spray and for using it on the mugger, which in New York State, is technically a criminal offense.

When the case, which went to trial, is heard by Judge MacKenzie, she learns that Gorsky searched the Bunker living room without a search warrant in order to find the spray can; she rules that when  Officer Gorsky did that, he violated Archie's civil rights, which moved her to throw the case out of court. When Archie, who was wearing a fake sling to feign as if he suffered an arm injury, namely a "lumdid hand", hears her decision, which was in his favor, the jubilant Arch lifts both arms in the air in triumph; when he goes to thank her, he takes his hand out of the sling, and then she says to him, "Take care of your lumdid hand!"
