Synopsis
Gloria objects to her father's treatment of Edith, sparking a battle that could upset the future harmony of the entire Bunker household. In one of Edith's best "wisdom of the sages from the mouth of a dingbat" moments, she restores harmony with a lecture about maple syrup.
Summary
Once again fueled by the flames of Women's Lib, Gloria is convinced that her mother Edith is being emotionally abused by Archie. Trouble is, Edith doesn't feel like a victim, and refuses to act like one. As a result, Gloria and Edith engage in a no-holds-barred argument, while the uncharacteristically speechless Archie and Mike sit on the sidelines.
